Contactless transaction – a cashless transaction made using a card with a contactless antenna at a service point equipped with a POS terminal with a contactless reader. It involves making a payment by bringing the card close to the contactless reader without the cardholder needing to confirm the transaction with a PIN or by signing on the terminal’s printout. It only works for low-value transactions (at the Cooperative Bank in Szczytno up to 100 PLN), completing a transaction of a higher amount requires PIN authorization.
The possibility of not applying strong authentication 3D Secure is in accordance with the Payment Services Act for online transactions
