Contactless transaction - a cashless transaction made using a card with a contactless antenna at a service point equipped with a POS terminal with a contactless reader. It involves making a payment by bringing the card close to the contactless reader without the cardholder having to confirm the transaction with a PIN code or by signing the printout from the terminal. It works only for low-value transactions (up to 100 PLN at the Cooperative Bank in Szczytno), completing a transaction of a higher amount requires authorization with a PIN.
The possibility of not using strong authentication 3D Secure is in accordance with the Payment Services Act for online transactions
